Pay a Court Fine

If all violations charged on your traffic ticket have a specified fine amount, you may choose not to appear in court, but to pay fines and fees prior to your court date. If any violation charged on your traffic ticket specifies “Court,” you must appear in court on your Notice to Appear date.

Fines may be paid in one of the following ways: In Person – Cash, Check, Money order, or Credit Card at the Municipal Court office

  • In Person – Cash, Check, Money Order at:

The Pay Court Citation link will take you outside the City of Wellsville website to an independent company – PACE that charges a fee for their services. The court receives no part of that fee.

To pay your ticket online, you are acknowledging that:

You are the defendant and that you are pleading guilty or no contest to the charges on your ticket.

  • You will be found guilty of the charges.
    • Note, If you wish to keep a violation off your driving record, please contact the court prior to making an online payment to see if it is an amendable charge and updated fine.
  • You are waiving your right to a trial. You are waiving your right to an attorney.

To make a payment, you must have:

  • Citation number or Case/Docket number
  • Driver’s license number
  • Date of Birth
  • A valid MasterCard, Visa or Discover Card
  • Cardholders name, address and phone number

NOTE: it may take up to 5 – 7 business days for a new citation to be available for online payment. If you can’t find your recent citation, please try back.

Court costs are included in the total fine amount.

Additional Information

  • Fines for traffic infractions and parking violations must be paid on or before the appearance date indicated on your citation. If you are wishing to contest your ticket, or if you need additional time to pay your fine, you must appear in court on the date indicated. Failure to pay fines may result in a suspension of your driving privileges or a warrant for your arrest, depending on the charge.
  • If you have been charged with any offense that carries a possibility of a jail sentence upon conviction, a fine amount will not be listed. You must appear in court on the date specified on your citation. If you have questions concerning the seriousness of the offense you have been charged with, you may contact the Wellsville Police Department/Municipal Court office at 785-883-4425.
  • Fines may be paid with cash, check or money order at the Wellsville Police Department/Municipal Court office Wellsville, KS. The office hours are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday – Friday.
  • Payments and correspondence may be mailed to the Wellsville Municipal Court 704 E 7th St Wellsville, KS. Please reference the ticket number, docket number or defendant’s name, or include the citation with your payment. Please make checks payable to Wellsville Municipal Court. There will be a $35.00 charge on all returned checks.
